Dr. Tahir received her medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi, Pakistan, then completed her residency in internal medicine at Huron Hospital, which was part of the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
After moving to Houston, she finished specialized fellowship training in infectious diseases at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas.
